I've been playing music in San Francisco for the last 15 or so years.
I play acoustic and electric guitars, electric and upright bass, a little piano,
but for the most part, I have survived professionally playing the mandolin.

My first Solo CD, "Big Career Move" was released on 12/02 and consists
of 11 all original songs. On this CD I played 5 instruments
and sing lead and harmony vocals.

Big Career Move is NOW AVAILABLE. To get one click my home page... But then

A Brief Musical Bio:

I started playing guitar when I was 11 - back in the suburban wastes of NJ. I played
in high school and college and fronted a number of remarkably lousy rock bands.
Around 1990 I bought a used Japanese Mandolin and took it to the Big Island of
Hawaii to woodshed. A few months later I
met a guy named Charlie Casey at a
party on Ocean Beach in San Francisco. He started teaching me jazzy chords,
jazz standards and tin pan alley t
unes and together we formed the San Francisco
based "Chazz Cats." The Cats played swing music made famous by folks such as
Django Reinhart, Duke Ellington, Fats Waller, Ella Fitzgerald, and Louis Prima.
Eventually we found a few of talented cohorts and began to entertain
up and down the West Coast playing at bars, clubs and private events. The Cats
recorded two great self produced CDs: Roadhouse Swing, and E Swingus Vitus.

18 years later and I am still playing music in San Francisco.
